2016 Paste Paper Book
Here is the thing, Bookmaking is a concise and precise step by step endeavor. For someone like myself who goes off on tangents and what ifs, bookmaking presents a significant challenge. I started thinking I would make a simple pamphlet type book and soon realized the pages were too big and could not hold the weight. Solution seemed to be to use rice paper and make signatures out of the single pages. All fine except rice paper though strong was probably the wrong choice. I made a stub binding and had no way to attach the cover to the pages. Solution I added a white inside cover that attached. Slightly off kilter but all and all not bad for the 1st book. Lesson if any follow the directions, make precise cuts, measure twice, cut once, and practice certainly helps. Looking forward to the next book.
